It is easily soluble in water and slightly soluble in alcohol, insoluble in acetone. It is stability in the air, and decompounds only a little at 100 centigrade. It loses ammonia and water, and becomes ammonium metaphosphate and phosphoric acid exceeding 190 centigrade.
